No, definitely not. We are looking for players who have a passion for the game, are athletic and trainable. We have a highly trained staff of coaches, who have played the game themselves and can see if a player has talent for club soccer.
Club soccer is played at a competitive level and there aren’t any time guarantees. Positions are earned through hard work at practice. However, it’s to the coach’s advantage to give all of his team game time experience, especially at the level that the new teams will be coming into the program.
Generally practices are held twice a week in the evening. The teams will all have a practice field in El Segundo.
What are the required credentials for coaches?
All coaches have at least a CYSA "E" license with several years of experience. They have either coached within club soccer, high school or at the AYSO all star level. Many of our coaches have played soccer themselves at a competitive level.
